Filter cartridge for microfiltration
Microdyn-Nadir GmbH

MICRODYN® filter modules have been developed for Cross flow micro filtration. The CMF represents a modern filtration method for the separation of suspended particles or liquid emulsions. The surface layer formed during the filtration of separated particles will be limited by

a) Shear stress upon the membrane surface caused by the Cross flow Micro Filtration (CMF) and

b) Periodical back flushing (PBW) against the filtration direction.

Both procedures allow a high and far more stable performance. All MICRODYN® module types can be cleaned with the periodical back flushing (PBWF). All MICRODYN® modules contain hydrophobic ACCUREL® membranes developed by AKZO AG made of polypropylene. These membranes are characterised by a highly porous, symmetrical design with a very narrow pore size distribution.
