FR-E700SC MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC EUROPE

Mitsubishi Electric's next generation compact inverter takes the concept of integrated safety to the next level. The successor to the popular FR-E700 inverter, the new FR-E700SC-EC provides the same power and versatility but with upgraded safety functionality, including integrated Safe Torque Off (STO) functionality and a new safety terminal block.

Safe Torque Off provides protection against unexpected motor start-up according to ISO 13849-1 Category 3/PLd and EN62061/IEC61508 SIL2. It helps to protect personnel and machinery by preventing automatic restarting of the inverter after a stop. It disables the drive signal to the motor without turning off the power to the inverter, ensuring that no hazardous motion is possible but enabling faster restarts to production after a stoppage. It also reduces panel costs and space requirements by removing the need for isolating contactors.

The FR-E700SC can operate in vector control mode, sensorless vector control mode, V/f mode or optimum excitation control mode, offering the highest levels of flexibility for the widest possible range of applications. It is available in two power ranges, covering motor powers from 0.1-2.2kW with single-phase, and 0.4-15kW with 3-phase supplies. With the extended vector control algorithm, the FR-E700SC inverters are able to achieve torques of 150% as low as 1Hz.

The highly compact drive is one of the smallest in its class, yet offers the power, accuracy and versatility to meet the most demanding of machinery requirements. User-friendly features include an integrated USB port, integrated one-touch Digital Dial control with a display, as well as improved power usage at low speeds.
