Mitsubishi Electric's new FA Integrated Controller Platform heralds a new era in factory automation. Ever shorter product life cycles, product diversification and rapidly-growing technology demands are all increasing pressure to drastically reduce overall costs for automation systems throughout the world market. In addition to this, today's factories need controller and automation technologies that are able to both process ever larger volumes of data on the production level and share the production data with connected management information systems.
The FA Integrated Controller Platform is Mitsubishi Electric's response to these challenges. Building on the company's very long experience in all fields of factory automation, the system integrates diverse controller solutions and modules on a single platform via a high-speed network.
The system can integrate PLCs, CNC controllers, motion controllers, robot controllers, interface modules, communications modules and network systems in a single platform, thus enabling the implementation of a unique control concept for complete, integrated factory automation solutions.
