Support Grips
Woodhead® indoor and outdoor support grips are designed to distribute weight of vertical or sloping runs of electrical and fiber-optic cable, metal rods, tubing or hose over the entire length of the grip to avoid damage
Standard closed-mesh support grips are available in a wide variety of eye styles and cable ranges. Support grips are woven from corrosion-resistant tinned-bronze wire, except for bus-drop grips, which are made from galvanized steel. Many of these grips can be upgraded to stainless-steel wire for applications demanding a higher level of corrosion resistance.
Standard-duty support grips are designed for loads up to 272.2 kg (600 lbs) and vertical runs of no more than 30.5m (100’). These are available in a variety of eye styles and cable ranges for supporting electrical and fiber optic cable, metal rods and tubing.
Closed-mesh support grips are woven of corrosion-resistant tinned-bronzed wire and are designed for use when the end of the cable is accessible.
Standard-duty split-lace grips are designed for loads up to 272.2 kg (600 lbs) and vertical runs of no more than 30.5m (100’). Split-lace support grips are used when the end of the cable cannot easily be accessed and the support grip is intended for permanent installation.
Split-rod support grips are used when the end of the cable is easily accessed, and the installation is temporary.
