PROFINET protocol software
Brad® PROFINET protocol-software stacks enable customers to design PROFINET IO-Controller (master) devices such as PLC couplers, PC-based interface cards, robot controllers and industrial PCs. By using the IO-Device (slave), stack customers can also design products including I/O modules, robots, field instruments, regulators and operator panels. Brad® protocol stacks are completely hardware independent and support 32-bit microprocessors (Intel, PowerPC, ARM, Fido, etc) running operating systems, real-time or not, (Windows, VxWorks, QNX, RTX, Linux, ECOS, ThreadX, etc). The PROFINET stacks perform communication from software Real Time (PROFINET RT Class1) to Isochronous Real Time (PROFINET IRT Class3).
Brad® PROFINET stacks allow PI certification for all Conformance Classes (CC-A, CC-B and CC-C) with optional features as media (MRP), System Redundancy and iDevice. The protocol stacks consist of ANSI C source code modules, example application source codes and user reference guides. PROFINET protocol is complex and requires expertise in fieldbus technology to implement. Therefore, customers are looking for a true partner that is able to offer products and services that will reduce their costs and time-to-market.
