Rugged, low loss, high power connectors typically used in wireless infrastructure applications
Molex's 7/16 connectors cover a broad spectrum of low loss, high power requirements. Designs exist for a wide range of cables, including corrugated styles. Silver or tri-metal (Copper, Tin and Zinc) plating is used for low IMD. Molex tri-metal (MX5) is tarnish resistant and durable; with abrasion resistance comparable to nickel with far better electrical performance. Tri-metal plating alloys are non-magnetic which is critical for low Inter-modulation Distortion (IMD). Molex's DIN 7/16 connectors are typically used in telecommunications systems.
