When heavy loads need to be set and kept in motion, or when movement is required over large work areas, the Mechrail system can be advantageously fitted with drive units. Powerdrive™ is an electric drive unit for Mechrail, integrated in the crane system trolleys. Smooth and progressive drive impetus Speed is progressively variable via frequency converter and is controlled with a joystick. The drive unit can be used as a drive in both X and Y direction as well as a fail-safe brake with the help of additional controls units. With a 4-way joystick, fast and smart movement is possible simultaneously in both X and Y direction. Pneumatic Powerdrive P Powerdrive is also available in a pneumatic version.
