Multiwave Photonics PM Ytterbium-Doped Fiber Amplifiers are high smallsignal gain polarization maintaining and single polarization (SPM) amplifiers optimized for the wavelength range 1055 nm - 1075 nm, provided as compact OEM modules.
The optical amplifiers are based on either single stage or dual stage configurations and their performance is optimized for 1064 nm. The optical amplifiers features a saturated optical output power in excess of +17 dBm, a small-signal gain in excess of 28 dB and a low noise figure. The amplifiers are built with components of the highest grade and are designed for stable and reliable operation.
The optical amplifiers include input and output isolators, as well as high quality linear polarizers that block the power in the fast axis, ensuring a polarization extinction ratio over 25 dB at the output.
The compact optical amplifier enclosures include drive and control electronics, and the amplifiers can be used to amplify cw or pulsed seed laser signals.
