Free-standing coordinate measuring machine - SIGNUM SilverLine
The SIGNUM SilverLine is a hybrid bearing measuring machine with a machine base made of precisely lapped granite and air bearing mounted XY cross slide table. The stationary granite stand is designed to hold one or two air bearing Z-axes ("Dual-Z").
The name "hybrid bearing measuring machine" is explained by the guidance technology of the axes.
The Z-axis is equipped with pre-stressed air bearings and vibration and backlash-free ball screws. The air bearing XY cross slide table that is based on a three-point support, moves contactlessly over a precisely lapped, flat machine bed made of granite and is driven with high-precision mechanical linear guidings and vibration and backlash-free ball screws. All drives contain DC servomotors with closed loop system and speed control
(vectorial micro processor CNC-control for 3 to 6 axis).
These contruction features ensure a high accelaration and positioning speed with continuous high accuracy. A base frame with optional vibration dampers separates the SIGNUM SilverLine to a great extent from floor vibrations and provides an optimal working height.
