We have developed a compact and portable measuring instrument especially for measuring large objects, such as rolls and bodies in white. Within a few minutes the five-kilogram instrument is ready for use on-site. The quality of roll textures or the geometry of recessed cells, for example, can be inspected from the micrometer to the nanometer scale. Large-scale measurements are also possible along the radius of curvature of a roller thanks to the integrated autofocus.
