PET-bottle recycling starting off is used with baled material. The pressed bottle bales are opened to release single bottles. The discharge and sorting conveyor manually sorts the bottles and transports them to the downstream equipment. The metal detector bridge protects the granulator. The granulator is specially designed for wet operation and used for size reduction, down to approx. 10 mm particle size. PET flakes collected together through water circulation to transport to the following intensive washer to clean the size reduced material. A feeding screw then transports the flakes to the machine's center. On step one of the cascade designed rotor (shown on the picture below) the flakes are drained and accelerated step by step. The separation tank separates the Polyolefins (PE/PP caps and labels) from the PET flakes.
