The ES Series pre-wash screw by NEU HERBOLD discharges foreign bodies in the material and it moistens the material with water. For protection and pre-treatment of the intensive washer is the main use of the recycling film. Directly into the water the contaminated film flakes are fed into the feed hopper. Through two pneumatic valves, heavier particles including metals, sand, or glass will sink to the bottom of the entry zone and are discharged periodically. The film flakes are sufficiently moisturized due to the residence time of the material in the water.
