The Tristar™ laser is an excellent choice for demanding UV laser applications where highly focused spots, precision positioning, and the highest possible throughput are necessary.

With a short 25 ns pulse width, the Tristar UV laser generates the high-intensity peak power necessary for precision scribing applications. For scribing LED substrates, this means cleaner scribe lines, higher throughput, and higher brightness LEDs. The Tristar UV laser's higher peak power allows the removal of material using short bursts of high energy, thus reducing undesired thermal effects which can overheat the work surface. This translates to higher throughput and less heat-related damage to the individual LED devices. The Tristar UV laser is pumped with a field-replaceable diode. This unique diode module can be easily replaced in the field and last more than double the industry average for other Q-switched lasers.
