Newsteo solutions are built around three elements:
- The logger: it takes the measurement and transmits it through radio. It can integrate or connect to any type of sensor (temperature, humidity, constraint ...). It is powered by battery.
- The radio receiver: it can connect either a PC (via USB) or a PLC (ModBus communication).
- Software: the software displays the measures taken by the logger. This may be the RF Monitor software provided by Newsteo or a software developed by the customer himself on basis of a SDK provided by Newsteo.
The radio transmission is made on the 868 MHz ISM band. The radio range reaches 1 km, even several kilometers using Newsteo radio relay (Newsteo Repeater).
With this solution, it is possible to equip several sites of different types of sensors (temperature, humidity, crackmeters ...) which will all communicate to a central database. From anywhere in the world, it is possible to consult the database and then oversee all sites.
