NexTech Materials, under its NTM Sensors Division, has recently launched a new hydrogen sensor that meets the performance and cost needs of a broad range of hydrogen generation, distribution, and utilization markets. The NTM SenseH2™ hydrogen sensor operates on the basis of a large and reversible change in electrical resistance of a cerium oxide based material. Designed for hydrogen monitoring, this patent-pending, chemi-resistive ceramic sensor exhibits a highly sensitive, selective, and rapid response to the presence of hydrogen in ambient air.
It reliably measures hydrogen concentration levels over a wide range of temperature and humidity, measuring 0.2%-4.0% of H2 in air. The NTM SenseH2™ hydrogen sensor provides a repeatable and stable response to low levels of hydrogen, even in the presence of CO, CH4 and VOCs. Its rapid response and recovery characteristics and stable long-term output make it ideal for a range of applications. NexTech recently began offering its production NTM SenseH2™ hydrogen sensor for commercial sale and is supplying customers around the world.
