The FGS-1000H is a manual test stand which can support a maximum of 1000 lbs. It is engineered for testing both the tension and compression of target materials. Almost all gauges from various manufacturers are compatible with the test stand. The instrument features a bottom mount mounting plate which can accommodate both standard and custom-made attachments, an adjustable clearance setting which can be used on a wide range of samples, and a precision gear movement which provides a consistent linear motion. The model's modular, compact design decreases footprint, weight, and cost. The instrument was constructed with an all-steel design which extends the life of the product. The stands are capable of measuring a diverse range of materials such as, wire, spring, plastic, paper cord, tubing, glass and composites.
