Description

The SMZ25 and SMZ18 stereo zoom microscopes from Nikon offer outstanding image quality throughout their extended magnification ranges, both for user observation and for capture by an optional digital camera. World’s Leading High-Performance Zoom Stereo Microscopes Nikon’s SMZ25 and SMZ18 revolutionise stereo microscopy with exceptional image resolution and the unique provision of 25:1 and 18:1 zoom ratios respectively. Applications range from routine inspection of critical components to research and development and failure analysis of innovative structures and devices. Nikon SMZ25 and SMZ18 The SMZ25 and SMZ18 are the world’s leading high-performance stereo zoom microscopes. Applications include innovative material research utilising the largest zoom range available (25:1). Realising Outstanding Stereoscopic Optical Performance Nikon’s perfect zoom system, the world’s highest zoom ratio (25:1), matches the high numerical aperture values of the left and right optical axes simultaneously. Digital Communication and Image Processing The SMZ25 and SMZ18 both have a wide range of digital imaging capabilities utilising Nikon’s Digital Sight cameras together with the NIS-Elements imaging software suite. Outstanding Optical Zoom Performance The remarkable zoom ratio is achieved by an opto-mechanical mechanism that continuously changes the distance between the two optical axes during the zooming process. Superior Resolution, Parfocal Objectives Nikon’s innovative and parfocal SHR Plan Apo objective lens series is capable of the highest resolution of 1100LP/mm (SHR Plan Apo 2x at maximum zoom).
