This fiberglass fire sleeve is silicon-coated and designed for pipe fire protection. In addition to the plastic pipe itself, the sleeve protects the wires cables, and hoses from flame and heat. It is capable of withstanding continuous exposure to temperatures up to 500°F/260°C, as well as a molten splash at 2,200°F/1,200°C. It can also withstand repeated exposures to molten aluminum, steel, and glass up to 3,000°F/1,650°C. The sleeve is insulated against energy loss in hosing and piping, and resistant to lubricating oils, fuels and hydraulic fluids. Users are protected from burns when handling pipes with this sleeve. They should continue wearing safety glasses, gloves, a dust mask and long sleeves when handling the products though.
