This fiberglass knitted sleeve is made out of type E-glass fiber that is fire-resistant and impervious to temperatures that can reach up to 1000°F or 520°C. It protects the user from industrial wires, cables, hydraulic hoses and tubing and pipes as well. This knitted sleeve is also resistant to numerous acids and alkalis and is immune to bleaches and solvents. Possessing a tensile strength that ranges from 450,000 to 500,000 psi, this sleeve is completely elastic. When in contact with temperatures reaching 343°C, it maintains a 75% tensile strength. As temperatures from 1121 to 1182°C is attained, the material melts while at temperatures of 732 to 877°C this fiberglass knitted sleeve softens. Moreover, it has a standard stiffness measuring 2824.3 cn/TEX.
