By utilizing a rigid traverse guide, perfect layer coil winding can be performed using mandrels without a slit groove wire guide. The machine also checks if the tooling flange position has been changed caused by thermal expansion, and adjusts it to keep consistent winding accuracy.
Having special software for winding both even and uneven numbers of turns per layer, and using the intermittent wire feed mechanism, BAS-01-60 achieves reliable perfect layer coil winding.
