The OSM automatic circuit recloser is clearly the most advanced product of its kind on the market today. Not only due to its size and weight but functionality and rated life. The product is available in voltages up to 27kV.
The product has been fully tested to comply with the requirements of ANSI C37.60 and utilizes vacuum interrupters encased in a polycarbonate housing inside a powder coated stainless steel tank to provide a fully insulated and solid di-electric system. This unique and patented fully insulated system allows us to produce the smallest and lightest auto recloser available in the market today.
The device measures current on all three (3) phases utilizing Rogowski sensors as well as voltage on all six (6) bushings using a capacitively coupled voltage measurement technique from conductive rubber screens. Because the device has the ability to measure voltage and current, the protection and data logging functionality that is available in the RC control is extensive.
The RC control and communications cubicle is a micro processor based control that incorporates the protection data logging and communications function in a single micro processor.
