For the N150/6000 Nordex uses a direct drive system with a permanent-magnet generator and full converter, ideal for offshore operations. This concept contributes to the turbine's maximum yield, minimises maintenance and helps ensure a design with an optimised weight factor.
Nordex has developed the N150/6000 together with experienced suppliers to take full advantage of proven technical solutions in all the details. The overall design of the turbine is based on the know-how and experience gained from more than 4,400 onshore installations. All this, combined with exhaustive tests of components and prototypes, means that the N150/6000 is able to meet the highest demands in terms of dependability.
