Nordex N60 (1.3 Megawatt)

The Nordex N60/1300 kW is one of our top-selling wind turbines. It is a powerful small turbine specially for the rapidly developing international markets.

The machine is equipped with stall regulation and produces a nominal output of 1.3 megawatts. With a rotor diameter of 60 metres, it can be operated at wind speeds of between 3 m/s and 25 m/s. The Nordex N60 has been optimized for regions with strong winds (GL1).

The rotor blades are made of high-quality glass fibre reinforced plastic (GAP). The blade tips are pivotable and can be swivelled 85 degrees relative to the main blade, in this position acting as aerodynamic brakes. Lightning receptors are integrated into the blade tips, diverting a lightning strike to the hub.
