NSK Bearing Units consist of a sealed single-row ball bearing with spherical outside diameter and extended inner ring mounted in a pillow block or flanged housing. The spherical fit between the insert and housing enables the unit to accommodate initial misalignment.
NSK can supply a full range of housing configurations made from ductile cast iron, cast steel or stainless steel depending on the requirements of the application. In addition, a variety of shaft locking mechanisms are available including set-screws, eccentric locking collars or adapter sleeves.
NSK Bearing Units feature ‘flingers’ in addition to the bearing seals. The design of the flinger promotes an outward flow of air to keep contaminants away from the bearing. This improves the sealing performance of the standard bearing units.
