Combined radial-thrust bearing
NTN-SNR
Since a needle bearing can only support pure radial or axial loads, it is necessary, when both radial and axial forces are present, to combine one needle bearing with one thrust needle or roller bearing, or in some cases even a thrust ball bearing.
In the range there are single and double effect axial thrust bearings.
In the first case, the bearing is a thrust roller bearing (NKXR) or a radial contact thrust ball bearing (NKX) with oblique contact (NKIA59) or three contact points (NKIB59).
In the second case, it is a thrust needle bearing (AXN) or thrust roller bearing (ARN).
