These stainless steel housings are used, among other applications, when the corrosion-resistance of the parts used is subject to the strictest requirements.
The various types of stainless housings are pillow block, flanged and take-up units and can be supplied with thermoplastic open or closed stainless steel plugs.
In these areas where there are difficult operating conditions (for example high humidity or direct contact with aggressive environments), traditional grey cast iron self-aligning housings are not able to meet requirements satisfactorily.
For these particular uses, we offer a vast standard range of stainless steel self-aligning housings. Also, all self-aligning, stainless steel housings are filled exclusively with a grease that meets USDA H1, the standard required by the pharmaceutical and food industries (among others, for the highest purity of materials used in the lubricant).
