Self-locking nut (Nylstop)

The necessity to introduce a pre-load in a bearing assembly and have a guarantee that its assembly conditions will be maintained over time justifies the use of the range of self-locking nuts that NTN-SNR markets. The fact that these nuts are manufactured to a high degree of precision allows them to be used on machine tool spindles without disturbance to the geometry of the assembly.
Technical characteristics:
- High-strength steel (900 - 1,000 N/mm²)
- Perpendicularity error of the bearing contact face in relation to the axis: between 2 and 5 µm (depending on the size)
- Self-locking system using a brass insert (two for standard ranges and four for reinforced ranges)
-Tightening system using notches or blind holes
- Series of standard widths and heavy duty series (wider) to be fitted where heavier loads are present or in "dynamically aggressive" assemblies (vibrations, impacts, out of balance, etc.)
