- The guidance of the scanning head and scale occurs within the encoder.
- The encoder is a compact unit.
- The functional elements of the encoder-the scale, scanning system and measuring slide-are protected from contaminants by an aluminum casing and elastic sealing lips.
- The coupling elements between the measuring slide and the carrier are constructed such that only motions in the direction of measurement are transmitted.
- Tilting or deviations by the carrier perpendicular to the direction of measurement can be compensated for within the large tolerance ranges without any error in measurement.
