As an alternative to high-quality basic materials, such as stainless steel components or titanium plating, OHL offers antechambers, through which investment costs are kept low for the customers. Precise ascertainment of pressure loss and sound protection against tube vibrations enable optimum process engineering design. With this, the choice of support grids is often made, instead of baffles. On the one hand, you can reliably support the heating surface tubes due to their stable interlinking of laser-cut plates, while on the other hand, the loss of pressure in the bundle is minimised, because a pure longitudinal flow is realised.
In contrast, classic baffles are preferred, if the heat transfer of the tubes is intended to be maximise by cross-flow and the risk of tube vibrations tends to be low, due to the lower fluid speeds.
