Videoscopes, such as the Olympus IPLEX II-R system, use the very latest in optical and digital technology, and are rapidly becoming the instruments of choice for most applications. The image is obtained via precision Olympus lenses and a high resolution color CCD camera in the objective end of the instrument, ensuring the highest quality, brightest images available. Illumination is provided by an integral high-intensity light source, through a non-coherent fiber bundle to the tip of the instrument.
