NH Fuselinks are used as the most reliable and economical protection of cable lines and installation lines against small overloads of current and high short-circuits. At rated voltage of 500V, the breaking capacity is 120kA, and at rated voltage of 660V, the breaking capacity is 100kA. The standard rated currents extend from 2A (NH00 C) to 1250 (NH4a). The cable line is optimally protected by gL-gG fuselink. In case of small overloads the operating time of the fuselink is longer, but in case of a short circuit it is very quick. Cyclic tests have proved that fuselinks melting characteristics are very stable and tolerance on the current axis can be up to ± 10%. Selectivity is assured in rated current proportion 1:1,6 both in case of overloads and short circuits.
NH aM FUSELINKS
aM Fuselinks are designed for switchgears and controlgears protection as well as motors in motor drives where gL or gG Fuselinks' characteristics do not comply with all the requirements for a successfull protection of these devices.
They are produced in all NH standard sizes for all standard amperages and for voltages up to 660V. Their main purpose is to allow the full utilization of switchgears and controlgears where starting currents can occur, and prevent sparking and damages to the protective contacts in case of short circuit.
It must be noted that this type of fuselinks are exclusively designed for the protection of small areas subjected to short circuits.
