Cylindrical mirror analyzers are efficient and easy to use instruments for sensitive chemical surface analysis. The integral electron source allows a compact instrument which uses one single mounting flange of a UHV system for complete Auger-spectroscopy. CMA-type analyzers offer a high sensitivity due to the large angular acceptance; and simple sample alignment and spectrometer adjustments.

Equipped for dual-mode operation - analogue and pulse counting - the CMA 100 provides outstanding versatility for all applications, ranging from investigation of delicate surfaces using very small beam currents in pulse counting mode to the fast display of spectra in real-time using the analogue mode.
