Dry plain bearing OndrivesRino Industries have launched 3 new busings, ranging from DU dry bushings, DP4 maintenance free and PM-DX marginally lubricated versions. All are manufactured from a composite bearing material consisting of three bonded layers – a steel or bronze backing strip is bonded with a porous sinter bronze interlayer which is impregnated and overlaid with a PTFE and lead bearing material. The bronze backing strip provides extra high corrosion resistance, anti-magnetic properties and a good thermal conductivity.
The DU (steel) and DUB (bronze) bushes are sold in both standard plain and flanged versions with thrust washers available as accessories. Sizes start at 2mm nominal inside diameter up to 300mm so every size possible is catered for. They are dry bearings requiring no additional lubrication and therefore providing maintenance free operation. They exhibit low wear rate and are seizure resistant with a high static and dynamic load capability – these are just some of their many advantageous features.
DP4 maintenance free bearings start at a nominal inside diameter of just 2mm going up to 115mm in the standard plain version and the flanged version starts at 3mm increasing to 45mm. Thrust washers are also available to suit. They are most suitable for sliding, oscillating, reciprocating and rotating applications.
PM-DX marginally lubricated bearings provide maintenance free operation, have good frictional properties, no water absorption so are therefore dimensionally stable and are compact and light to boot. Sizes start at 8mm inside diameter going up to 300mm on the standard plain cylindrical bush – flanged versions are not available in this range.
