Sample dispensing system OPAM InstrumentsOPAM Sample Collectors and Dispensers have similar liquid handling features. Both instruments suck an aliquot of liquid in the syringe or sample loop and transfer it through a valve-tube system to a target vessel. Also several samples can be handled successively or simultaneously. Therefore the mechanical design of both instruments resembles each other. Due to the different applications the detailed instrument design (e.g. the number and size of samples to be transferred) will be decided according to the user specifications.
OPAM Sample Collectors and Dispensers are based on syringe pump technology and stepper motor robotics. The semiautomatic or continuous flow OPAM Syringe Pump is applied in simple OPAM Sample Collectors and sample tubes/bottles are changed manually. In automatic OPAM Sample Collectors the sample tubes or bottles are on the tray, which is moved under the dispensing tubes. Alternatively the tray can be stationary and dispensing tubes will move above the tray.
