Band-pass optical filter
Optida
Optida offers several kinds of filters: bandpass interference, cut-off (long pass or short pass), hot/cold or astronomical. All the filters let's to transmit specific wavelengths or they range and blocks the wavelengths which is not require. In case of high intensities, filters without absorptive materials could be produced enabling high damage threshold and making blocking by reflection only.
Bandpass interference filters are used for isolation of wavelength range. The main parameters of an interference bandpass filter are the peak transmission wavelength, and the full-width-half-maximum (FWHM or bandwidth) of the transmission range.
Hot mirrors reflect infrared (heat) radiation and transmit visible radiation and in this way separate these spectral ranges. Cold mirrors reflect visible radiation and transmit infrared radiation.
Cut-off filters make a rapid transition from virtually total blocking to virtually total transmission.
Long-pass cut-off filters transmit longer wavelengths and block shorter wavelengths. Short-Pass cut-off filters transmit shorter wavelengths and transmit longer.
Optida has the capabilities of manufacturing astronomical filters up to 100 mm square or 100 mm diameter, blocking range from UV to NIR, blocking depth to 3-4 OD with central wavelength and FWHM tolerances not exceeding 1 nm.
