The Optronics MicroFire® monochrome is the black and white version of the MicroFire and is suitable for quantitative analysis. Its 2 megapixel sensor is adequate for most projects and it can be adapted for color imaging with the accessory RGB filter. It generates the highest on-chip resolution and is the most appropriate choice for quantitative work for brightfield, darkfield, and fluorescence microscopy and provides higher sensitivity than color cameras making it an excellent tool for low light imaging applications.
