The FTO-GDXL is capable of non-step drilling up to 30 times diameter! By eliminating step drilling, cycle times are reduced up to 15 times over gun drilling.

FTO-GDXL Drills are coolant-thru and feature a reverse web taper, ultra-smooth surface treatment, and OSG's special TiAlN coating, all contributing to efficient chip removal in deep holes. The new drill is available in sizes ranging from 2.5mm (0.098") to 20mm (0.787") in diameter.

These drills are capable of working in a wide variety of work materials. In trial applications, cost savings over traditional gun drills are most often measured in thousands or tens of thousands of EURO.
