The Disc Chipper is used for the production of quality chips, mainly from round wood. Depending on the feed material, the chippers are available with vertical or slanted discs.
Method of operation:
The material is horizontally fed into the heavy disc which is equipped with knives. The cut is performed between the vertical rotor knives and the counter knives. The chips are discharged to below. For short feed material, the disc chipper is designed with a slanted feeding device.
