The impact hammer mill, type PHPS is used in recycling operations for the production of valuable secondary raw materials. The well proven impact hammer shredder converts preshredded waste wood of any kind valuable raw material for reutilization in board production or energy generation. Contaminated materials can be fed into the shredder. Foreign matter, travelling in the feed stock is seperated and automatically discharged.

The feed material is introduced into the shredder vertically from above. Heavy rotating hammers hit in an upward action against the feed material and throw it against the inside of the housing top above the rotor where it will be prebroken by impact. The wood pieces are split along the grain, metal contaminats enclosed into the wood are set free in the special feed chute because of their different ballistic curve. The final preparation is effected by statonary breaker and comb bars. The opening of the heavy grid defines the finished product size.
