Relief valve

The Parker RH Series Relief Valves are proportional high pressure relief valves. A relief valve is primarily used to discharge excess system pressure to a safe point of release.
In operation, when upstream pressure exceeds the force exerted by the spring on the seat, the poppet opens, permitting flow through the valve. In a proportional relief valve, the higher the upstream pressure, the greater the poppet lift.
The RH Relief Valve has been designed with a captured molded seat design, resistant to blow-out and chipping.

The Parker RL Series Relief Valves are proportional low pressure relief valves.
The RL Relief Valve has been designed such that the cracking pressure is only sensitive to the upstream pressure and is not influenced by downstream pressure.
