The Stratoflex Products Division designs and manufactures Waterman® hydraulic fuses and flow regulators for aerospace and derivative markets.

Hydraulic fuses are "normally open" valves that are designed and constructed to close in the event of certain types of system malfunction. The fuse is intended primarily to protect the system from loss of reservoir fluid in the event of a ruptured tube, hose, or component.
