Bag Inserter Opens, Inserts, and Cuffs Bags Up To 18 CPM!

The Pearson B18 Bag Inserter is designed to automatically open and insert a plastic bag into an empty RSC. Tablock RSC. HSC, FOL, or Bliss style case, tray, or container at speeds up to 18 cases per minute. This Bag Inserter is an extra heavy duty, three shifts per day, dependable machine capable of handling a wide range of bags, styles, and sizes.
Flat or gusseted bags from presealed and perforated roll stock are fed to an opening station. A vacuum plenum secures the bag and the carriage opens the bag above the waiting case. A cuffing mechanism contains the bag and permits a mandrel to enter the bag and travel to the bottom of the container. Simultaneously, the cuffing mechanism cuffs the bag.
As the mandrel is retracting, the carriage closes to allow the vacuum plenums to secure the next bag, maximizing vacuum establish time. When the mandrel is retracted, the case is released to transfer out of the loading station.

For future capacity requirements, Pearson's BI18 is fully upgradable to the BI25 Bag Inserter for speeds up to 25 cases per minute.
Pearson's BI18 can either be positioned over an existing conveyor or one can be supplied by Pearson as an option. Case control guides and case indexer are standard. This machine is equipped with a fully enclosed guard package, complete with electrical interlocks. An Allen-Bradley6, PLC, PackML compliance, ULe Listed Control Panel, two bag roll stands, and inventory control photoeye at discharge are also standard.
