The STERN BROWN 160 IMS is a real work station for metal tube forming. Thanks to the 12 different tools that can be fitted, this end forming machine gives the possibility to flare, reduce, end-form, roll-form, face, chamfer, close and thread steel and light alloys tubes up to maximum diameter 165 mm. The oil jet lubrification assures maximum smoothness to all operating components. The STERN BROWN 160 IMS has 3 controlled axis and a double vice closing system that guarantees excellent clamping even in the case of particularly large diameter tubes. The structural features, the flexibility and the high performance make this machine particularly indicated for working tubes to be used in automotive field, however its uses are various. Because of its ease of use, it doesn’t require a highly trained operator; moreover, tool change is extremely easy and rapid. Like other Pedrazzoli end forming machines, the STERN BROWN 160 IMS too has the IMS control, based on PC with Pentium microprocessor, graphic colour screen and Touch Screen. This software allows to control all the achievable functions (that are represented in a graphic way) and also, in a simulated cycle, the crashes between tools, tubes and machine. This machine can be equipped with automatic loader, two-hand push-button controls with mushroom emergency button and clamping vice pre-closing device.
