The PScan-D cabled barcode reader is now suitable for use in hazardous dust Zone 21. PScan-D belongs to the PowerScan product family and is suitable for reading all common barcode types. One defining characteristic of the PowerScan barcode reader is the reliable detection of operating data in hazardous areas up to Zone 1 and 21 under harsh conditions.

The robust design with recessed display and protected scanner window guarantees that the barcode reader will function even after a fall from a height of two meters. The long reading distance of 1,100 millimeters satisfies customer requirements both for the detection of operating data and for logistics applications in industrial conditions.

The barcode reader uses patented technology that can reliably read barely legible or damaged codes. The aiming function allows the unique identification of barcodes positioned close together. An acoustic and optical signal confirm that the code has been read successfully and a corresponding message appears on the display. Three LEDs ensure that confirmation can be seen from every angle.

Using a cable with a maximum length of 150 meters allows the barcode reader to be connected directly to a host computer located in the safe zone via a connection module. Alternatively, it can be used in conjunction with TERMEX operator terminals from our VisuNet family.
