PerkinElmer’s family of XRD 16-inch (41 cm) amorphous silicon (a-Si) Digital X-ray Flat Panel Detectors (FPDs) produce a high throughput and frame rates while maintaining an industry-leading 16-bit contrast resolution and the ability to perform real-time digital x-ray imaging. The detectors’ radiation-hardened design allows them to perform in harsh environments, making them the ideal choice for medical, veterinary and 24/7 NDT applications. They offer a pixel size of 200 or 400 μm, an image size of 2048 x 2048 pixels, and a frame rate up to 30 fps with a 2 x 2 binning.

Two models of XRD 16 inch FPDs are available: the XRD 1622 and XRD 1621. Both provide energy ranges from 20keV-15MeV and offer a selection of speed, scintillator, filter, charge amplification, and frame rate options.
