PerkinElmer’s new LED Fiber Optic Illuminator couples high intensity LED white light into fiber optic bundles for applications including medical endoscopy1, microscopy, and machine vision. It offers an energy-efficient, maintenance-free alternative to halogen and metal-halide fiber optic illuminators.
The LED source is comprised of high-power white LEDs, patent-pending optics to precisely couple light into fiber optics, heat sink and fan, linear light intensity control, and AC power supply. It has been designed to couple light into 3 -10 mm fiber.
