Petzl, inventor of the headlamp
At night or in dark spaces, it's important to be able to work hands-free. To address those needs, Petzl invented the headlamp in the early 1970s. Since then, Petzl has continuously been the leader of technological innovations, offering headlamps adapted for specific activities.

Our wide range of headlamps addresses a multitude of needs: from the simplest of tasks to technical work in extreme environments.
The Petzl line of headlamps includes:

universal headlamps: multi-purpose, with long-range lighting and long light durations, with little bulk,
special purpose headlamps: heavy duty, powerful and waterproof,
headlamps for hazardous locations: for use in potentially explosive environments,
compact headlamps: lightweight and simple, can be carried anywhere.
All Petzl headlamps are individually tested and guaranteed for three years. They are water resistant for all-weather use. They use high quality bulbs (halogen, krypton, LEDs) and the light beam can be easily aimed. The adjustable elastic headbands give them stability and comfort.

The Petzl difference

1- 2- Lighting power
The quality of the light depends on the light source. The LEDs used by Petzl are chosen from the highest quality LEDs available.
Grouping several LEDs in the same housing or using a high output LED allows the headlamp to project a powerful light beam.
3- The Wide Angle lens enlarges the beam
Unique to Petzl, the Wide Angle lens slides or flips over the LED to diffuse the beam with a single, quick movement. It allows the user to switch between focalized long-range lighting and diffuse proximity lighting. A single light source can address multiple needs.
4- New colors
Compact headlamps (TIKKA, ZIPKA...) are now available in the Work Solutions colors : yellow and black.
