The Photron Fastcam SA3 sets new standards for high-speed imaging by offering a highly light-sensitive mega-pixel CMOS sensor with high-G performance. With over one million enormous 17µm pixels, the SA3 enjoys a receptivity to light that until now only older, lower resolution CCD sensor technologies could achieve. This feature makes it ideal for lower-light applications or those that required expensive, hot lighting setups.The SA3's sensitivity to light enables fast shutter speeds that prevent motion blur.

In addition to the ability to functioning well under lower lighting conditions at very high speeds, the SA3 retains all the benefits long associated with Photron's existing CMOS high speed cameras, including the ability to reduce the dynamic range from 12-bits to 8-bits - providing a 50% increase in record duration.
The Fastcam SA3 is available in three memory configurations; 2GB, 4GB and 8GB to help match your requirements to your budget. Gigabit Ethernet connectivity enables multiple camera control via PC, or an optional intuitive hand-held control unit is available for easy operation where a computer is not required.
