How can you benefit from the Delta™?

The Delta™ is a compact ultrasonic gauge designed for Wall Thickness Measurement measurement on metallic and non-metallic materials such as aluminium, titanium, plastic, ceramics and glass.

This measuring procedure requires two adjacent parallel surfaces. This opens up a whole range of industrial applications for the Delta™, such as inspection of incoming materials and component parts, and inspection of pipes and boilers for indications of corrosion or erosion.

The Delta™ is extremely user-friendly. The gauge is first calibrated to a known sample or sound velocity, displaying the result in mm. Sound velocities can be pre-set for five different types of material, and the gauge memory will store up to ten thickness readings..
Measuring principle

The probe transmits ultrasonic wave pulses which penetrate the material sample, are distributed within it and then reflected back. By measuring the time of penetration of the ultrasound waves, the gauge determines the exact thickness of the sample.
