Piab's CU (control units) have a set of electrically controlled on/off and blow-off valves. This function is suitable for "leaking" applications where products are handled in an automated process or small and fast pick-and place applications, such as surface-mount assembly machines in the semiconductor industry. Examples of leaking applications are packaging machines, such as carton erectors, or as more decentralized units in printing presses and post-press machines. In these applications blow-off will be necessary to clean pipes, filters or surfaces from dust. The small CU function module is an option for vacuum generator P2010 and the large is an option for vacuum pump/generator P3010, P5010 and P6010.
